‘I see a lot of myself in you,’ Alec Baldwin’s Donald Trump tells Alec Baldwin’s Bill O’Reilly
Alec Baldwin played two problematic, grey American followers on this week’s Saturday Night Live . em>
He first appeared as President Donald Trump in the show’s cold open and later gathered double role, frisking both Trump and Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly in a scathing sketch addressing the sexual harassment accusations against the O’Reilly Factor host.
Baldwin’s O’Reilly opened the segment by promising to address “the scandal everyone’s been talking about all week.”
“The scandal no one thought I’d have the nerves to address pate on, ” he included, “about the stunning allegations regarding abuse of power that ought to have leveled against … the Obama administration.”
“O’Reilly” attempted to throw it over to journalist Laurie Dhue, before being told by a producer that she no longer manipulated at the company. “What? Did she get the check? ” he murmured, before checking in with Malia Zimmerman( Cecily Strong ), who, he observed, is “normally in studio, but is now reporting live via spacecraft from exactly 500 feet away.”
But the foreground of the segment reached when Baldwin-as-O’Reilly introduced Baldwin-as-Trump.
“Apparently various brides have come forward and alleged me of to offer them provoking opportunities now at Fox News, ” O’Reilly-Baldwin pronounced. “Beyond that, the detailed description were somewhat fuzzy, but one soldier was brave enough to come to my security, a soldier who is unimpeachable on all female issues.”
At firstly, it was a reciprocal love-fest between the Baldwins, as O’Reilly-Baldwin remarked that Trump-Baldwin looked even better on TV.
“I know, I do. I look fantastic and can I tell you something? I actually examine a lot of myself in you, Bill, ” Trump-Baldwin pronounced approvingly.
O’Reilly-Baldwin then thanked the president for coming to his security.( Earlier this week, the real POTUS told the New York Times , “I don’t suppose Bill did anything wrong.”)
Trump-Baldwin said he was locating O’Reilly’s innocence on “a loose thought, ” before acknowledging, “I’m more familiar with this case than I am with, allege, healthcare, but I didn’t really look into it often. No, I was too busy being super presidential by bombarding a bunch of shit.”
O’Reilly-Baldwin closed by thanking Trump-Baldwin for promoting “sexual assault awareness month, ” which Trump-Baldwin pronounced was “a subject that’s near and dear to my hand.”
